This Activision game from 1982 is the second most successful computer game on the Atari VCS 2600 worldwide: Activision Pitfall. The most successful computer game ever was Pac Man. The story behind Activision and this game is very interesting. Four of the best programmers at Atari left the company and founded Activision. They developed the technically most impressive games for the Atari VCS 2600 game console. I saw Pitfall on this machine and it inspired me that much that I wanted to create a clone on the ZX81 Computer which I owned during this time. A few days after I wrote about this story in my block I became aware of such a game module in eBay and I decided I wanted this for my collection. It is an example for inspiring me to produce my only computer game in my life.

Dieses Activision Spiel von 1982 ist das weltweit zweit-erfolgreichste Computerspiel auf dem Atari VCS 2600. Das erfolgreichste Computerspiel aller Zeiten war Pac Man. Die Geschichte hinter Activision und diesem Spiel ist sehr interessant. Die vier besten Programmierer bei Atari verließen die Firma und gründeten Activision. Sie entwickelten die technisch beeindruckendsten Spiele für die Spielkonsole Atari VCS 2600. Ich habe Pitfall auf diesem Gerät gesehen, und es inspirierte mich so sehr, dass ich einen Klon auf dem ZX81 erstellen wollte, den ich in dieser Zeit als Computer besaß. Ein paar Tage, nachdem ich in meinem Block über diese Geschichte geschrieben hatte, wurde ich auf ein solches Spielmodul bei eBay aufmerksam und beschloss, dass ich es für meine Sammlung haben wollte. Es ist ein Beispiel dafür, dass es mich dabei inspiriert hat, mein einziges Computerspiel in meinem Leben zu produzieren.
